Backstory
Born the only son and runt of a viera family high in the mountains of Skatay. Despite his small stature and frequent illnesses as a child he was discovered to have inherited the potent magical gifts of his grandmother, who also served as matriarch of their village. He was trained from the moment he could walk to make these gifts his own and reign in the dangerous aetheric gifts that would be his to wield as he grew into his inherited power.He was taken at the age of fourteen by his father to begin his life as a wood-warder, for two years he trained hard under his patrons tutelage and the scrawny runt of a viera began to show growth, if not in stature than in strength. It was one singular act of mercy that derailed what would have been an average if not blessed life for the young jack. He left the woods to defend a group of fleeing dalmascans beset by imperial soldiers. This contact with outsiders no matter how well meaning ended with Khets exile from his people and homeland to wander southward into Imperial Occupied Dalmasca.At the age of sixteen he joined the war effort, recruited by a Lentes tears cell known as the "Dead men's brigade" Where he served for the next two decades. During a tour in the Bozjan conflict he was captured and taken as a POW just in time for the sky above to burst into flames and men to twist themselves into blasphemies...
